Freelance Editor
Editors must have detailed knowledge of English grammar, sentence structure and word usage. They must be skilled in identifying proper organization of a book. Freelance editors working with McDougal Publishing must have intimate knowledge of the Scriptures, must be familiar with and have access to the various translations of the Bible available on today's market, and should have book editing experience. Knowledge of Pentecostal and Charismatic beliefs is necessary. Preference is given to editors with college degrees in Communications, English, or Journalism. Editors are paid on a job-by-job basis and are not considered to be employees of McDougal Publishing.
Freelance Writer
Requirements for writers are the same as for editors except that writers must have previous writing experience. Writers who have written book-length works for the Christian market are preferred. Writers are paid on a job-by-job basis and are not considered to be employees of McDougal Publishing.
Persons interested in contract or freelance work in the above areas should submit a résumé, cover letter, and applicable work samples to the address listed below.
